Purpose and Responsibilities
Fundraising: To raise funds for conducting Unit Committee business and assisting Republican candidates for public office, as per the by-laws.
Expanded Duties: Manages budgeting, organizes events like fundraisers or dinners, tracks donations, and ensures compliance with Virginia campaign finance laws. It supports candidate campaigns by allocating resources for materials and ads, and cooperates with RPV on joint fundraising (Article III, Section A.3 of CCRC By-Laws).
Transparency: Prepares financial reports for Unit Committee meetings and adheres to RPV rules prohibiting mandatory fees for participation (Article I).
Membership and Structure
Led by a Finance Chairman appointed by the Unit Chairman, with additional members chosen by the Finance Chairman.
Open to members with financial or fundraising experience.
