Purpose:

The Precinct Captains Committee is established in Article XI, Section B.5 of the CCRC By-Laws to handle local-level coordination, aligning with RPV Party Plan's structure for unit committees (Article VI) and election activities.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Precinct Coordination: To coordinate activities at the precinct level and assist the Executive Committee.

Expanded Role: Captains manage voter contact, poll operations, and data collection in their polling places. They support Operations Committee efforts like door-knocking and integrate with RPV canvassing rules (Article VIII).

Membership and Structure

One Captain per polling place, appointed by the Unit Chairman.
Reports to the Executive Committee.

Express interest to the Unit Chairman for appointment in your precinct.

Bylaws:

There shall be a Precinct Captains Committee composed of one Captain, appointed by the Unit Chairman, to represent each polling place. The purpose of this Committee is to coordinate activities at the precinct level and to assist the Executive Committee.
